Established Artist Recognition Awards
Five artists took home Established Artist Awards of $5000 for their artistic achievements and contributions to the arts community and all of Nova Scotia. They are: musician, Norman Adams artistic director and musician, Emmy Alcorn; and visual artists, Rose Adams, Cathy Busby and Drew Klassen.

Community Arts and Culture Recognition Award
The Municipality of Clare was recognized with the 2010 Community Arts and Culture Recognition Award valued at $10,000.

Lieutenant  Governor  of Nova Scotia Masterworks Arts Award
Georgette Leblanc’s highly original poetic works Alma (published in 2007) and Amédé (published in 2010) netted the author the $25,000 Lieutenant  Governor  of Nova Scotia Masterworks Arts Award.

Portia White Prize  &  Protégé Prize
Accomplished singer Mary Jane Lamond received the $18,000 Portia White prize, the most substantial arts award presented by the Government of Nova Scotia,  in recognition of her efforts to preserve Gaelic culture through song.

Comunn Féis an Eilein of Christmas Island were chosen by Portia White Prize Winner Mary Jane Lamond to receive the $7,000 Protégé Prize.
